Baking Experiments of 2021

I love baking.

It helps me de-stress to follow a set of instructions, and then have an end result.

To some degree, writing can be like baking. When I’m working from an outline, it feels like that. Then, just like in baking, the end product will be worthwhile, or headed for the trash.

Similar to my other baking experiments, some of the 2021 versions went well and I’m ready to bake them again.

Some of them failed.

I definitely need to work on presentation.

I’ll keep trying new recipes and (hopefully) getting better. My kids are my number one fans. They eat all the experiments—good and bad.

It’s about the time of year when school is slowing down and I’ll have more time for baking and writing. I’ve got my sights set on a black forest imprime dessert cake from the Great British Bake Off. *fingers crossed that it sets*
